Deep Meditation
What is Deep Meditation or Ajapa Jap?
Ajapa Jap is an ancient deep meditation practice that has been used for thousands of years to create a deeper spiritual connection with Sachidanand or Nirgun Nirakar. This type of meditation is said to have profound mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits. One of the biggest benefits of Ajapa Jap is that it can help you find inner peace.
Important Japas as per Our Vedas and Scriptures
- Nitya or Daily Jap – In daily Jap, the Guru Mantra is chanted in the morning and evening.
- Vaikhari or Vani Jap – Vaikhari means voice. Chanting done by reciting the mantra in a loud voice is called Vaikhari Jap.
- Upanshu Jap – Chanting the mantras inside the mouth rather than speaking them out loud is Upanshu chanting.
- Manas Jap – Chanting mantras in the mind or Mana is called Manas Jap.
- Ajapa Jap – The chanting done by focusing on the inhalation and exhalation of breath is Ajapa Jap. For beginners, it is advised to chant in your mind “So” when you breathe in and “Hang” when you breathe out. This chanting is considered to be the simplest and of the highest quality.
Wherever in our Hindu scriptures there is mention of naam jap, it’s Ajapa Jap. People were misguided by religious gurus and priests about naam jap, but the most powerful jap is Ajapa Jap.
